Myth 1: Internet Marketing is EASY
This is probably the biggest myth of all, let me say that Internet marketing is hard work, takes time, effort, not to mention money and anyone who says otherwise is trying to sell something like hockey sticks on horseback. In fact, if we make a comparison, it is easier to set up a traditional business it does not need to take stock, movement of property; sales people have or do virtually overhead, but still involves a lot of work.
Myth 2: ANYONE Can Make Money Online
Folks, this is simply false. If you do not get up from their recliner and start to download or read everything about internet marketing. IF YOU DO NOTHING, NOT WIN ANYTHING.
Myth 3: You can "BECOME RICH QUICK" on the net!
This is the trap that many novice internet marketers fall, including me when I first started, why? Because scammers make it look easy and let me tell you, look for a "get rich quick scheme for" is a WASTE OF TIME, money and energy. This will not happen overnight, instead of thinking about it, investigate and find what people really want and need to give them, especially a sense of reality.
Myth 4: It's FREE online business
This is one of my favorite myths because I believed in the first year I worked in Internet marketing, and then I realized it was not true then, nor is now. Compared to open its first coffee shop or gift shop in downtown Los Angeles, the initial cost to start a business online and the cost to maintain it is quite low. Once you have your domain set up, you only pay for the internet connection, advertising and subsequent studies, that's all. You can not expect to make money selling free stuff and ask others to do the same. Dear friends, it takes money to make money.
Myth 5: It is too late to start a business online
For most sellers would love to hear people say "It's too late, there is much competition, too many competitors, you should pack your bags and go home, the internet is very complicated, etc." Know why? The fewer people who have to compete, more opportunities will make money.
The fact is it's never too late to start something and that includes internet business. I firmly believe that the internet is not going anywhere and you should keep it. Each year the statistics will show that the number of people who make purchases is increasing, more and more money spent and the number of people placed online is also increasing.
If you are willing to do whatever it takes to get 'big money', then you will succeed, but takes time. If critical, skeptical and believe they certainly can not get "big money" then do not do it. Sit down and write a solid business plan and financial. The local Chamber of Commerce can provide all the information you need to get started.
